IFSEC 2015 attracted more than
27,000 visitors. Of those, 5,200
visitors, expressed a specific interest
in physical perimeter security. It
is no surprise. The interest for
perimeter security is on the rise,
and lately also boosted by terrorist
threats and the increasing numbers
of refugees in Europe.
The Physical
Perimeter Security Zone one will
now offer much more space to
specialist manufacturers to fully
display and demonstrate their pro-
ducts with all aspects of the sector
covered including barriers, acoustic
barriers, boom barriers, height
restrictors, high security street fur-
niture, blast protection, perimeter
detection, blast walls, perimeter
structures, bollards, protective bun-
kers, fencing, roadblockers, gate
automation and turnstiles.
Confirmed suppliers within the
Physical Perimeter Security Zone
include the UK's premier supplier
of automatic gates, parking bar-
riers, retractable turnstiles and
tubular motors, CAME UK along
with sister company BPT to the
zone along with Marshalls PLC,
Birmingham Barbed Tape, Blok
n Mesh, DEA System, Engtex,
Gilgen Doors, GM Techtronics,
Kijlstra Precast, LPCB, Nitesite,
Robust UK, Townscape Products,
to name a few.
Detektor and its publishing house,
AR Media International, will be
exhibiting at IFSEC as usual.
"We have been exhibiting at
IFSEC every year since 1992 and
I am looking forward very much
to being there again", says Lennart
Alexandrie," the CEO of AR Media
International.
At the stand (C926)
AR Media International will display
their online trade publications,
such as SecurityWorldHotel.com
and SecurityUser.com, and will also
distribute their printed magazines
for the EMEA and the Scandina-
vian market.
"IFSEC is a very important
event for everyone working on
the international security market.
There is probably no other physical
place that we meet so many of our
readers and online media users in
the world. And thatīs the greatest
part of the fun".
Apart from promoting their
publications AR Media will also
make sure the visitors to their stand
will get to know about their secu-
rity events in Scandinavia 2016,
Sectech in Copenhagen, to be held
in November, and Skydd in Stock-
holm, to be held in October. "We
are certain to be busy all three days",
concludes Lennart Alexandrie.

Sicur attracted more than 40 000 visitors
The Spanish security event, Sicur, was held between
2326 February at the Feria de Madrid. According
to the organisers Ifema, the event registered 42,294
professional visitors from 76 countries, reflecting 8%
more than at Sicur 2014.
This year's edition also featured
more products, showcasing the
latest security solutions from
1,350 companies, with direct
participation by 572 exhibitors,
up 14% on last year.
Sicur's ability to attract
domestic visitors has also been
notable. All Spanish Autono-
mous Communities and Cities
were represented and 51.7% of
the attending professionals were
from outside Madrid. Atten-
dance was particularly strong
from Catalonia, Andalusia, the
Valencian Community and the
Basque Country. Meanwhile,
international attendance was
8% of the total, with the big-
gest share going to Portugal,
followed by the Latin American
countries.
Sicur was held between 2326 February at the Feria de Madrid.
Manager Francisco Fuster from the Spanish perimeter intrusion company Bunker
Seguridad and his team enjoyed the Sicur together with their business partner Mike
Burgess from Takex.
Alex Sosa and Noemi Farrarons from
Barcelona-based JR Sistemas displayed
alarm and video verification products.
