feature, the camera automatically
adjusts settings to shoot optimal
images best suited for facial recog-
nition. Using Facepro with cameras
like Panasonic's i-PRO Extreme
series equipped with the intelligent
auto function enables image analy-
sis to be performed on the camera
instead of the
server.
Flir
launched
its new Saros
line of security
cameras, which
is an outdoor security product line
that combines multiple traditional
perimeter protection technologies,
including multiple Flir Lepton
thermal sensors, which provide
the ability to deliver wide-area
monitoring regardless of unfavour-
able lighting or weather conditions.
They also include high-definition
optical cameras with the option of
1080p or 4K resolution. The IR
and visible LED illuminators pro-
vide the ability to deter intruders
with white light illumination and
according to Flir, on-board analyt-
ics offer accurate target detection
and classification, to help reduce
false alarms. Two-way audio and
digital input/outputs enable real-
time audio response.
Genetec
presented its Security
Center Autovu Automated License
Plate Recognition (ALPR) solution
that enables parking enforcement
organisations to view video re-
corded by a body-worn camera and
automatically correlate it with the
license plate data associated with an
infraction or altercation. This will
help them to better protect their
officers. By pressing a button on a
body-worn camera, an officer can
trigger a video recording. Autovu
associates ALPR-equipped vehicles
with specific body-worn cam-
eras, and ties video clips to ALPR
metadata such as plate reads, GPS
coordinates and timestamps. When
video evidence from body-worn
cameras needs to be retrieved, users
can search based on plate number,
time range or by using maps.
PSIM
Advancis
introduced its func-
tional module Control Operations
a concept for control manage-
ment of security-technology
systems (arm/disarm, disable-
ments/re-enablements, revision
on/off, etc.). If, for example, fire
detectors are not disabled during
welding works, false alarms might
be triggered. And it is even worse
if re-enablement of the detectors
is forgotten after completing the
job. This process can be digitalised
through Advancis' module: the
disablement and re-enablement
can be requested via web forms
and all involved parties have on-
line access anytime to the control
operations planning or the current
detector status.

est products within access control at Ifsec.
Aitor Gauna and Laurence Kenny from
Pyronix, displayed perimeter intrusion
systems and other innovations.
Fredrik Wallberg, Director of Marketing,
at FLIR Systems Security division was
present in the stand.
Nora Roebers, product manager at
