Detektor International Award
The Detektor International Award intends to reward and encourrage research and development within the security technology field.
This prize is a confirmation and a recognition of products that stand up to the criteria of o utstanding innovations and contributions to the advancement of the security industry.
Products are divided into following four categories:
- Alarms & Detection
- ID & Access control
- Video surveillance (CCTV)
- IoT Security Products
After the nomination ceremony, the jury, which consist of members of the editorial board of Detektor, give their votes. The overall winner in each category receive the award for "Best Product", and the two second best products receive the "Innovative Achievement Award".
The overall winner in their respective category get the "Best Product Award" which is a glass sculpture, special designed for the Detektor International Award by the world famous glass designer Bertil Vallien.
Bertil Vallien has since the 1960's been one of the most influential Swedish designers. He has affected
both the artistic expression and introduced new ideas for production and individualization of crystal.
