Addsecure rebrands Dualtech in line with group strategy

Addsecure
is rebranding Dualtech
IT AB
, following its acquisition of
the company in September 2020.
From now on the companies of-
ficially align under one brand.
Consolidating its Smart Alarms
solutions, the rebranding will
further strengthen the company's
offering to the market.
"By gathering all knowledge
under the same brand, we will
be able to strengthen our Smart
Alarms' portfolio, expertise, and
market coverage in Europe. The
combined offering will benefit
customers across Europe who will
be provided with future-proof,
secure, and reliable end-to-end IoT
connectivity solutions," says Peter
Johansson, President Smart Alarms,
Addsecure.
This holds particularly true
when it comes to the new alarm
transmission EU standard 50136-3
required by 2021. In the past, to
receive a certificate only the trans-
mitter needed to be tested, not the
receiving equipment, whereas the
new standard stipulates that the
alarm system must be tested all the
way, end-to-end.
The joint offering is also
important in view of the forth-
coming technological shift, i.e. the
sunsetting of the copper, 2G and
3G networks that is taking place
throughout Europe. Customers
and installers can now onboard a
new generation of wireless and IP-
based alarm terminals that support
both alarm transmission services
as well enable secure IoT com-
munications for other building
management systems and video
surveillance systems. All with the
need for secure connectivity and
remote services to operate in a
secure manner.
"In addition, by combining
expertise and consolidated IT and
cyber security practice, we will be
able to create new, innovative solu-
tions that can meet the increased
digitalisation and the thereby in-
creasing security threats customers
are facing," Johansson continues.
The first official presentation
of the united brand, joint Smart
Alarms team, took place at the
Sectech Expo, held in Stockholm
on the 27th and 28th of October.
