Vivotek new fixed domes with advanced imaging
Taipei, Taiwan
Following the release of the all-new
box network cameras, IP8155HP
and IP8165HP, Vivo tek is now
launching two new fixed dome
network cameras, the FD8155H
and the FD8165H. Both cameras
are designed with a high-resolution
CMOS sensor and feature numer-
ous advanced technologies, such
as wide dynamic range (WDR),
smart IR, and 3D noise reduc-
tion, thereby engineered to deliver
superior image quality.
The FD8155H offers 1.3MP
video resolution at 60 fps, whereas
the FD8165H achieves a higher
2MP video resolution while main-
taining the same fps rate. The
FD8155H and FD8165H feature
WDR Pro II and WDR Pro
respectively. These technologies fa-
cilitate favourable visibility under
highly contrasted environments.
Both models also feature 3D noise
reduction, which enables the
cameras to capture clear, polished
video under low-light conditions
and reduce bandwidth from sen-
sor noise, and smart IR, which
prevents overexposure and reduces
noise by instantaneously adjust-
ing IR lighting intensity, thereby
ensuring superb image quality
around the clock. Moreover, both
cameras are further equipped with
a smart focus system for remote
and precise focus adjustment,
simplifying the installation and
configuration process of the
cameras.
Steve Ma, Executive VP at
Vivotek, asserted, "Vivotek
continues to place considerable
emphasis on superior image tech-
nologies, which is essentially one
of the company's biggest strengths.
The launch of the FD8155H and
FD8165H is yet another testimo-
nial that elucidates our advance-
ment in the development of fixed
dome network cameras. These
feature-rich cameras are ideal solu-
tions for places with challenging
lighting conditions, such as park-
ing lot entrances, bank entrances,
and hotel sidewalks."

Siemens adds to surveillance portfolio
Zug, Switzerland
With Siveillance VMS (video
management software), Siemens
has introduced a video manage-
ment solution that enhances
the company's existing security
portfolio. The strategic partner for
this software is Danish IP video
management specialist Milestone
Systems, on whose technology
Siveillance VMS is based.
Siveillance comprises software-
based security platforms and
modules that are used in critical
infrastructures and by enterprise
customers. Another application for
the video technology is the Desigo
CC management platform for
building and security technology.
Here, too, Siemens and Milestone
Systems are working closely to
provide video functionalities in
Desigo CC.
Siemens offers Siveillance
VMS in three versions including
the VMS 100 which supports up
to 128 cameras and is suitable for
small and medium-sized facilities;
the VMS 200 that meets the
demands of centrally managed
systems with the high scalability
requirements typical of major
industrial facilities and the VMS
300 which is used in systems that
are distributed over multiple loca-
tions. It centrally manages user
and system data. VMS 300 has
a redundant design and is there-
fore available during network
interruptions. It is suitable for
critical infrastructures such as
airports.
With this new product Siemens
is aiming for a long-term strategic
partnership with Milestone.
Siemens' OEM partner Milestone
specialises in open, IP-based video
management software. Its flexible
technologies have been proven
in thousands of installations
worldwide.
"We are pleased to have
won a leading provider of IP
video management software like
Milestone as our strategic partner
and technology supplier," says
René Jungbluth, who heads the
solutions business at Siemens
Building Technologies. "Siemens
is a key player in the security in-
dustry, and VMS is a vital module
in our Siveillance portfolio. It
helps further focus and expand
our enterprise security solutions
business. Because the video tech-
nology can also be integrated into
the Desigo CC building manage-
ment platform, the software is an
outstanding addition to our Total
Building Solutions portfolio as
well."
"The worldwide strategic
partnership with Siemens is very
important to us. It is not only
proof of how important open
platforms are, but also represents
a benchmark in our long-standing
business relationship," says Lars
Thinggaard, president and CEO of
Milestone.
Nedap integrates with Commend
Groenlo, The Netherlands
Nedap
is launching AEOS 3.1.4,
introducing intercom integration
with Commend intercom. As a re-
sult of this integration AEOS not
only instantly shows who is at the
door, but at the same time verifies
this person via the intercom. Con-
trolled access can subsequently be
given.
`Giving controlled access is
one of the tasks most frequently
performed by receptionists and
security guards', says Arjan
Bouter, Sales Manager at Nedap.
`In the Graphical Alarm Handler
of AEOS they already had direct
control of sensors, doors and
cameras and now an intercom
has been added to that. With this
intercom integration of one of
the major suppliers of Critical
Communication Systems, the
user has full control when provid-
ing access. Moreover, for control
afterwards, this solution simply
provides complete insight into
which operator gave access via
which intercom, including the
accompanying video recordings.
Post-event control has never been
this easy'.
AEOS is an integrated solution
for security management that
combines access control, video
management, intruder detection
and intercom into one platform.
By integrating intercom into
AEOS, Nedap and Commend of-
fer a comprehensive and compact
solution for companies
and organisations.
