Detektor International Award The winners: Baudouine Genouville , Suprema (Access Control), Johannes Ahlgren, Eagle Eye Networks (Video Surveillance) and Raffaele De Astis from Cias Elettronica (Alarm & Detection). Detektor International Award 2021 On October 25, the 22nd Detektor International Award prize ceremony took place at an industry dinner, held at the International Stockholm Fair (Stockholmsmässan), after the first day of Skydd, the largest security exhibition in Scandinavia. Stockholm, Sweden Three first prize winners presented and celebrated as well as the other six finalists who received the Innovative Achievement Award. The presentation on stage was made by Lennart Alexandrie, CEO of AR Media International and the founder and publisher of the security trade magazine Detektor International. He said that innovation and usability are the key priorities for the editorial board of Detektor, when selecting nominees for the Detektor International Award. So here are the products, rewarded for living up to these criteria in 2022. The overall winner 2022 Synapses from Cias Elettronica (Italy) Self-adaptive multisensor system from Cias Elettronica (Italy), was presented as the first prize winner in the category of Alarm and Detection. Synapses is a multi-sensor system that combines perimeter sensors with intelligent video. It performs various video analysis algorithms including deep learning. The FoV (Field Of View) of each connected camera can be distributed in eight different areas and paired with 32 field devices. In the video stream (via RTSP IP video stream), different targets can be distinguished, such as human, car or animal. The response is sent back to the sensor, which dynamically adjusts the actual threshold values to optimise its own detection behaviour. THE JURY’S MOTIVATION: “This self-adaptive multi sensor system proves once again CIAS’ outstanding ability to find new ways to use contemporary technology and create intelligent solutions to meet the complex challenges that go with perimeter surveillance.” Alarm & Detection browser. A modular design makes the system easy to expand in case of new needs. THE JURY’S MOTIVATION:“With its commitment to evolving an intrusion control panel into a versatile and user friendly IoT platform for security and home automation, there is no doubt that Ksenia is contributing to the modernisation of the professional security market.” The Innovative Achievement Award 2022 Ksenia Lares 4.0 from Ksenia Security (Italy) Autovu Cloudrunner from Genetec (Canada) Ksenia Lares 4.0 is a central device and an IoT platform that offers a combined security and home automation solution. No software is required as programming and control takes place via an app or a web Autovu Cloudrunner is a new cloud-based system which detects, analyses and stores accurate vehicle identification data to facilitate the work of the police to fight and investigate crime. Regardless of light or weather conditions, vehicles linked to crime are detected and identified. Cloudrunner uses a high performance solar powered automated license plate camera (CR-H2 ) powered by the Autovu Machine Learning Core (MLC) – a neural network-based analysis engine for vehicle recognition. The CR-H2 camera can also identify vehicle type, colour and react to behaviour, estimate speeds and record direction of travel which facilitates police searches, even when license plate information is missing. THE JURY’S MOTIVATION: “With its solar-powered automated number plate camera and neural network-based vehicle recognition analysis engine, Autovu Cloudrunner can become a game changer for police investigations – a brilliant example of Genetec’s innovation capability” Security News Every Day – www. securityworldmarket.com 3 0 • de tek to r inte rnat io nal
