Siemens enhances Sipass integrated access system

The most recent update to the
Sipass integrated access control sys
tem, version 2.65, from Siemens
allows you to configure multiple
access authorisations for card hold
ers and work groups as well as for
reservation objects.
An unlimited number of access
authorisations to each card holder,
either permanently or temporarily
using fixed start and end times can
be assigned. The authorisations
can be combined as needed. If you
modify the access rights of a work
group, the changes apply to all
card holders in the group.
Sipass integrated 2.65 supports
current operating systems such
as Windows 8, Windows Server
2012 and Microsoft SQL Server
2012 and offers interactive report
ing functions.
Reservation objects such as
conference rooms, seminar rooms
at universities or tennis courts at
sports facilities, can be defined as
a collection of access components.
Making a reservation is easy: Users
access a calendarlike interface
via the web to quickly view the
availability of the components, for
example all conference rooms at a
site, and then book or edit them.
The user interface for card
management is customisable. To
increase efficiency and ease of use,
the display can be streamlined so
that only regularly used functions
are shown. If needed, card man
agement and reservations can be
handled through a thirdparty sys
tem, for instance an HR system,
connected to Sipass integrated via
application programming inter
faces (API). External hardware,
such as digital video recorders,
can be controlled via a DVR API.
Robust security features protect
access via the web client.

The new Everfocus `eZ.IP'

the ENVR8304D plugandplay
embedded NVR allows users to
access their images without IP
backgrounds. Users can access the
video images from anywhere on
the go with their portable devices

the operating frame automatically
according to your monitor. This
solution targets smallscale instal

The ENVR8304D plugand
play embedded NVR supports
upto 8 independent PoE network
interfaces and autodiscovers the
connected IP camera. Without
any complex IP configuration, the
NVR is designed for simple instal
lation. The H.264 compression
technology provides efficient disk
utilisation and network bandwidth
conservation, at the same time, it
delivers clear images and provides
high quality recording. The sepa
rated PoE smart switch extends
the distance between cameras and
NVR to 100 metres or more, and
enables small medium businesses
to have more flexibility during
installation.
With true plugandplay setup
and realtime local display up in to
full HD resolution, the Linux
embedded solution works just
like a DVR but without the need
for those complicated network
settings that might otherwise be
required with conventional NVR
systems. Featuring a standalone
network video recorder up to 8
channels, along with a series of
NVRs and their megapixel camera
line, the Everfocus `eZ.IP' Solution
offers a complete system kit that
can be easily installed in a matter
of minutes.
There is no need to purchase
extra computers or software to
operate the system. When paired
with the powerful Everfocus
Powervideo Plus CMS, the EN
VR8304D can be used in complex
multisite installations with
centralised management. The EN
VR8304D is also fully supported
by the Everfocus Mobilefocus re
mote viewer on IOS and Android

Six new Vivotek network cameras with superior processing

is launching six new
network cameras, the IP8364-C,
IP8337H-C, FD8164, FD8164V,
FD8137H, and FD8137HV.
These cameras are designed with
strong image processing capabili
ties for securing extremely high
image quality.
The IP8364C and IP8337HC
are two bulletstyle network cam
eras designed for diverse outdoor
applications. Both cameras are en
cased in IP66rated weatherproof
housing that is resistant to rain
and dust. In order to strengthen
the robustness of the camera, the
mounting bracket includes cable
management, designed specifically
for protecting the cable within
the bracket. Featuring a remov
able IRcut filter as well as IR
illuminators effective up to 20m,
both cameras are able to adapt
to constantly changing outdoor
lighting conditions and provide
superior image quality around the
clock. In addition, IP8337HC
comes especially equipped with
WDR Pro technology, enabling
unparalleled visibility in high
contrast environments.
The FD8164, FD8164V,
FD8137H, and FD8137HV are
fixed dome network cameras that
are designed for indoor applica
tions. These four new fixed dome
network cameras are all equipped
with 3D noise reduction technol
ogy, a feature that helps reduce
bandwidth from sensor noise
while capturing clear and polished
video under lowlight conditions.
In addition, the removable IRcut
filter and improved IR illumina
tors, effective up to 15m, are also
featured for excellent image qual
ity in spite of challenging lighting
conditions.
